ORDERING PROCESS & PROCEDURE

DELIVERY AREAS

We deliver to all the UK, most of the EU, the United States, Canada, Japan, Austrialia and New Zealand. We regret we do not accept orders from any other countries at this time

DELIVERY CHARGE

The standard 'next day' delivery charge to mainland UK is £4.95. A guaranteed Saturday delivery option is available in most areas of the UK for £7.95. For UK orders where the basket value before adjustments is £20 or less, a lower cost slower (3 to 5 days) alternative is available for £0.99.

Orders to Europe will be charged £9.95 and the Rest Of The World £13.95.

WE ARE CURRENTLY PLEASED TO OFFER COMPLETELY FREE STANDARD DELIVERY ON ALL UK ORDERS OVER £200. DELIVERY CHARGES ON OVERSEAS ORDERS OVER £200 WILL BE REDUCED BY £4.95.

No duty applies to goods shipped within the European Union.

DELIVERY TIMES

UK orders placed and authorised before 4pm any weekday (excluding Bank Holidays) are despatched the very same day.

Woodhouse offer three different delivery options for UK orders. Next day UK delivery is offered as standard, but we also have a guaranteed Saturday delivery option in most areas of the UK, as well as a slower 3 to 5 day service for orders where the basket value before adjustments is £20 or less.

Standard 'Next Day' Delivery

Orders to most of the UK mainland are sent by DPD. Deliveries to some remote areas and all offshore areas of the UK are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery - please see below for applicable postcodes. In most cases, you should receive your order on the next working day. Please note that orders received after 4pm Friday (and over the rest of the weekend) are processed on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Saturday Delivery

A guaranteed Saturday delivery option is available in most areas of the UK at additional cost. Please note orders despatched from our warehouse on Friday on our standard 'next day' delivery service will not arrive until the Monday.

Saver Delivery (3-5 Days)

Where this option is selected your goods will be sent by Royal Mail Second Class Packetpost. Royal Mail aims to deliver Second Class mail within three to five working days after posting, including Saturday. No signature is required for goods sent via this service. The saver delivery option is only available on orders where the basket value before adjustments is £20 or less.

For overseas orders, we will dispatch your goods by air mail once we have bank authorisation (which can take up to 72 hours). Delivery takes around 5 working days from dispatch for most EU countries, but please allow up to 10 working days. Delivery takes around 8 working days to the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia/New Zealand, but please allow up to 15 working days.

We’re reasonable people, so our hardworking team do not work Bank Holidays; orders placed then get sent the next working day. Saturday and Sunday orders are sent out on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

DPD UK

If your order is sent by DPD, you will be sent an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched with tracking information. DPD will also contact you by Email and SMS to confirm your 1 hour delivery window. (This service is only available to UK mainland customers.) If the delivery date/time is not convenient, you can reply to the Email or SMS to change delivery.

Please note: DPD working hours are between 8am - 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays are NOT classed as working days.

DELIVERY ADDRESS OPTIONS

In the interests of customer security, your first order must be shipped to the address where your credit/debit card is registered (the billing/statement address). The only exception we can make to this policy is if payment is made with a card that is subscribed to and uses the 3D Secure System, the payment industry's internet authentication standard.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER (ON STANDARD / SATURDAY UK DELIVERY)

All orders received before 4pm on a weekday (Monday to Friday) will be delivered the next working day (or on Saturday if you have opted for this), as long as the card payment passes the necessary security checks and the next working day is not a bank holiday.

A signature will be required on delivery of the goods to you. Receipt of a signature at the delivery address will be proof that the order has been delivered to you. If you are not in to receive and sign for the goods, you will be left a card telling how to contact the carrier to collect or re-arrange delivery.

If you have not received your order by the end of the next working day after ordering;

  1. Check your email - if we have any query or problem that stops us sending the order out we will have sent you an email to let you know.
  2. Check your order status in your account - if it is still in 'pending' the order have not been despatched and we will need to get in contact with you.
  3. If your order shows as 'despatched', check to see if a card has been left to say that delivery was attempted while you were out, and check if someone else has signed for the parcel.
  4. If your order is being delivered by DPD you should have received a tracking email so you can track your parcel online. If you haven't received a tracking number from us or your order is being delivered by the Royal Mail, please contact us on tel: 01625 421100 between 09.00 and 17.00 GMT and we can track the order for you. We can also let you have the shipment reference and you can do the same.

In most cases we find that the carrier will have attempted to deliver and taken the package back to the sorting office/depot because no one was in. They should leave a card to say this, but they don't always do so.

If you are not in to sign for the goods; If your order is being delivered by DPD: The parcel will be taken back to the nearest DPD depot. DPD will automatically reattempt delivery on the next working day, but you also have a number of options for rearranging delivery at a time convenient for you. For further information please see the DPD website. If your order is being delivered by Royal Mail: The parcel will be taken to the local sorting office and you can collect it from there (remember to take the card and appropriate identification), or you can ask the Royal Mail to deliver again at a suitable time for you. Alternatively, you can have an item delivered to your local post office for a 50p charge rather than having to pick it up from the sorting office.
