Front-end Web Developer/Designer
A successful online clothing retailer requires a Front-end Web Developer/Designer to start work in their South Manchester head office immediately.
You will be involved in the design and development of new functionality for existing e-commerce websites, working alongside our in-house development team and external design support. Projects will be of varying size and complexity and will utilise both static and dynamic content. All of our websites are built with PHP/MySQL, so exposure to these technologies would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic and highly motivated person and have excellent communication skills, in particular they will be able to work and communicate with non-technical staff. Although not essential, an interest in fashion would be highly beneficial and any exposure to internet marketing techniques such as social media, blog writing, email marketing and affiliate marketing, would also be advantageous.
Hours: 35 hours per week.

About you:
Must have:
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience
- HTML, CSS & web design
- Javascript / jQuery
- Good communication skills
Additional skills that would be beneficial:
- PHP / MySQL
- A working knowledge of open source software (e.g. osCommerce / Magento / Wordpress)
- A working knowledge of Linux system admin / web hosting control panels
- Exposure to internet marketing techniques
- Graphic design / Typography
